You're expecting too much out of that setup.ĬPU usage is fine. Also if you are using razer synapse software that had an adverse effect on my gpu until i uninstalled that.Ĭlick to expand.I think therein lies your problem. Hopefully this will fix your GPU usage problem. That is what was causing me to have these problems. My point is that by just click "clean install" on nvidia's installer a lot of stuff gets left behind from the old drivers. This is how you do a proper clean install and the DDU tool allows you to create a restore point automatically before you do anything and it does everything in safe mode. When you click on "clean install" on nvidia's driver installer utility all it does is erase your profiles and game settings in Geforce experience. Follow the instructions for uninstalling your driver, then run CCleaner, and finally go to nvidia to download and install the newest drivers. <-Go here and download this tool and also download CCleaner to clean up you registry. I found out it was due to some obscure part of the 780 driver was still on my computer. Are your cards new? I had a 780 before that worked great but when i installed the 780ti it had the same problem. But your GPU usage is low and i actually ran into this problem with my 780ti. This man had a similar issue with bf3, thread here: ĬPU usage is fine in bf4. The pictures are my own, however, this video is someone using a very similar build but getting better usage: It is not a CPU bottleneck, have seen people play SMALLER Bf4 games (32man dom vs 64man CQL) at 75-99% usage on GTX 780ti SLI and a weaker CPU) Increase GPU and CPU usage to hit 120fps at almost all times Unparked cores, didn't help since Bf4 uses all 4 cores/8 threads Tested stability on CPU and GPU, both ran fine (used Prime95/Heaven 4.0) Took off old Thermal paste, applied new, helped CPU temps Tested each card individually in 2 different slots, total 4 tests ran: ran at 97-99% usage when a single card Changed Motherboard from Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H to MSI G45 Imported Nvidia Profile from Bad Joker from CMW, did not help (turned off adaptive vsync on his settings though) Turned Power Management to Max Performance, made cards run at 50%-60% as opposed to 40-50% Ran Prime95 along with Bf4, made each card go to 30% usage (tried to push CPU usage up) Reinstalled Bf4, made my GPU usage up to 90% usage in the first game, but then it went back to ~60% each card Took of Side Panel, decrease temps of GPUs and CPU Rolled back drivers to last drivers, then latest Beta Drivers, did not help performance Did CLEAN nvidia driver installs, did nothing OC RAM to 2000 speeds, inconsistent results, ran back to stock speeds and got more solid results Turned CPU to stock speeds, decreased performance by 5-10% on average Turned both cards to stock, didn't do anything but hurt performance Turned up resolution scale, makes the cards go up in usage (150% resolution scale) +64 Core Clock/+219 memory clock on GPU2 (came factory overclocked, hence lower manual OC) +168 core Clock/+219 memory clock on GPU1 (came not overclocked) Hoping to hit 90% usage on both GPUs and 90% on the CPUs in order to achieve a solid 120fps on Bf4 Multiplayer consistently so I am able to upgrade to a 120hz 1080p monitor. When loading Prime95 and Heaven Benchmark, CPU and GPUs are loaded at 100% and 95-99% respectively. Low CPU and GPU usage in 64 player Multiplayer servers in Bf4.
